prices on older dino's are rediculous and anything with a supposed history is wayyy off too,
Ill take a good ol 74 GT-4 308, and an 87 Testarossa,
good price, good car's, fun to drive,
and half way affordable,

I have always found that with all cars, genuinely, you get what you pay for. Can I just bring to the boil a thought that has been scratching my mind. This new ferrari, the 458 - looks remarkebly like the Alfa Romeo 8C no?

At 21?!No kidding?!That the age I am now..
Awesome. What you said were kinda logical.

I mean,if Ferrari sells their cars too pricey, even rich people won't buy them.

But in Malaysia,(which I live in),the government kinda puts on a lotta taxes on import cars. That's why imported cars are very expensive here, and hence, the mentality of only the SUPER rich could buy SUPER cars.

For example,a 2007 F430 here costs MYR(Malaysian Ringgit) 1.3million to 1.4million
(around USD370K-400K) whereas it's only USD160K+ in United States. The price is almost tripled.

But as I read your article, and my passion to own a Ferrari,I believe with time and hard work it is achievable.

so true about the Ferrari price. I'm from Japan and the same idea goes with the Ferrari market here. I know one Japanese motor journalist (and Ferrari maniac) who keeps writing through his books that Ferrari is not a super expensive car. And that anyone considering a Ferrari should at least start by going to private dealerships and talk with the manager and ask the price. According him, Japan is the only country in the world where you can buy Ferrari with loan. I've heard that recently, a young businessman who always had Ferrari as his dream car bought I believe a second hand 348 (which should still cost more here than in U.S.) with loan.
He earns $20,000 an year (average JP businessman)
and though his life became a bit harsh cuz he's now paying most of his monthly income on Ferrari loan, he's still happy he bought it.
Even in Japan, Ferrari for many people is a big deal. Even riding in an old Ferrari, people see you like a guy riding a new Rolls-Royce.

Reading this was extremely helpful. my dreams to buy a ferrari started since i knew what a ferrari was. i understand that the cost of one inst that much compared to buying a Lexus Ls460. which is around 100k. Hopefully i will acquire enough money from working to buy a Ferrari F430 by the time im 21. Since im only 16 years old now and trying to get my parents in to retirement and millionaires by the time their 55. So i got tons of ahead of me. but wow really this helped me a lot. i knew that it was impossible to get a ferrari. but i never thought that i would want to work hard to get it. working hard= i manage my own Cologne Stands. Online Marketing. and Occasionally Small jobs. Also some people that go to my school. have maseratis and Benz. But they didnt work for it their parents bought them for them . Im trying to be the opposite of that. Get my self a Ferrari f430. with the money i made and worked for not someone elses. But ya i enjoyed reading this thanks bud.
